Degree-
An authorized college or university only can proffer a degree. It is a long-term program, either an undergraduate program or a post-graduate. Students can pursue a degree only after high school, i.e. the minimum requirement is 10+2. It generally is of 2-4 years. It can be done in both online as well as offline modes. The examination pattern is of a semester or annual following the framing of every respective course.
Diploma-
A diploma course is not as long as a degree course. An educational institute testifies that the candidate has completed the course and is eligible for the respective post. There are several types of diplomas offered by institutions- such as diplomas in engineering, diploma in design, diplomas in aeronautics, etc.
Candidates can pursue a diploma course after completion of high school studies. The duration ranges from 6 months-24 months. It offers both online and offline modes of education.
The degree course fee is some higher than the diploma course fee.
