Degree-

An authorized college or university only can proffer a degree. It is a long-term program, either an undergraduate program or a post-graduate. It includes a bachelor’s, Associate’s, Master or doctorate. There are several types of degrees offered by institutions- some of them are BA, B.SC, B.COM, B.TECH, MA, M.SC, MBA, and Ph.D.

Students can pursue a degree only after high school, i.e. the minimum requirement is 10+2. It generally is of 2-4 years. It can be done in both online as well as offline modes. The examination pattern is of a semester or annual following the framing of every respective course.

Diploma-

A diploma course is not as long as a degree course. An educational institute testifies that the candidate has completed the course and is eligible for the respective post. There are several types of diplomas offered by institutions- such as diplomas in engineering, diploma in design, diplomas in aeronautics, etc.

Candidates can pursue a diploma course after completion of high school studies. The duration ranges from 6 months-24 months. It offers both online and offline modes of education.

The degree course fee is some higher than the diploma course fee.

What do employers want?

There is no specific fact that an employer expects to be entertained. Both courses equally tell whether an employer wants a diploma course or a degree course as a qualification. Every employer selects candidates according to the requirement of the job role and the institution. Is important that you create a way to build your career in both courses.
